FAMI Facial Fat Transfer with Dr. Zamora

Revive and rejuvenate with the Facial Fat Transfer or FAMI procedure. FAMI stands for Fat Autograft Muscle Injection. This minimally invasive, in-office procedure helps refill areas of the face that have lost fat of the facial muscles due to injury, age and shrinkage. By restoring volume to muscles, augmenting forehead, eyebrow, cheeks, mouth, and chin, Dr. Zamora helps to provide the more youthful look of a fuller face. How does it work?
Dr. Zamora starts with a light liposuction procedure (you are awake!) that removes your own fat from the most diet resistant areas of the body. He then processes and harvests the adipose tissue and injects into facial muscles. Adipose tissue creates a cascade of wound healing growth factors which can improve the quality of skin. As an oculofacial plastic surgeon with an expert artistic eye, Dr. Zamora is extremely precise with his FAMI procedures giving patients truly natural looking results and a more youthful face.
What is the downtime?
This is an outpatient procedure with very, very minimal downtime. Aside from possible bruising and swelling, most patients return to normal activities within the next day. Any post procedure discomfort can be treated with over the counter Tylenol. No sutures are needed which makes healing relatively easy. Results are immediate!
Who is a candidate?
Anyone wanting to refresh their look! Dr. Zamora treats each patient individually and recommends each procedure based on your personal cosmetic goals. Although some patients may benefit from a J-Plazty procedure or full facelift, Dr. Zamora may recommend a Facial Fat Transfer procedure instead to postpone or even take the place of more invasive surgery.

This combination brightening treatment increases cell turnover and stimulates collagen to reveal brighter, more radiant skin. The IPL (intense pulsed light) PhotoFacial and VI Precision Plus Chemical peel are both effective treatments for stubborn pigmentation and when combined together, patients see noticeable results!
The IPL (intense pulsed light) PhotoFacial treatment restores the skin’s youthful appearance. The IPL is a broad-spectrum of visible light wavelengths that is absorbed at the lower layers (dermis) while leaving the top layers (epidermis) unaffected. Heat generated from the light promotes healing of the skin within, treating brown spots, broken capillaries, spider veins, uneven pigmentation, and redness. The VI Peel Precision Plus has a powerful dual-booster brightening system to help restore skin tone and is specifically formulated for pigmented skin. With TCA, Phenol, Salicylic Acid, Retinoic Acid, Vitamin C, Hydroquinone, and Kojic acid, the treatment reduces the appearance of age spots and brightens even the most stubborn areas of discoloration from sun damage and melasma.
Immediately after the treatment skin will be red and pigmentation darker. Makeup can be worn the next day, but you will notice any pigmentation will become darker and this will increase over the next few days before they slough away. On around day three, skin will begin peeling and will continue for a few days. Around day 7-10 skin will be dry and flaky but any significant peeling or dark spots will be naturally exfoliated. We recommend coming in for a Dermaplane and HydraFacial (part of our Flash Sale!) about two weeks post treatment help with further exfoliation to reveal that bright, new skin!

This non-ablative laser gets impressive skin rejuvenation results by the long-lasting stimulation of collagen and elastin proteins within the connective tissue layer under the skin’s surface.
