  • Since EMFACE treats deep facial layers, anyone looking to rejuvenate their face, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, or improve sagging skin is a candidate for EMFACE. EMFACE can also be used as a preventative treatment.

  • The EMFACE treatment is simple and easy. Aside from cleansing the face, there is no pre- or post-preparation needed. You will lie down while the applicators are applied over the treatment areas for 30 minutes. You will feel muscle contractions and a heating sensation comparable to a hot stone massage during the treatment. Once the procedure is completed, you can return to your daily routine immediately.

  • Patients notice a defined jawline and rejuvenated facial profile, lifted eyes, and a fuller and more youthful appearance with EMFACE.

  • Patients begin to feel tangible results right after the treatments. Optimal results are usually reported 90 days after the last session and continue improving for several weeks following the treatment.

  • EMFACE treatments are scheduled once a week. At least four treatments are needed, but your provider can tell you what is best for your goals. Some patients may benefit from additional sessions depending on anatomy and goals.

  • You can combine EMFACE with Botox, Fillers, Laser Resurfacing or our other cosmetic surgery procedures. Your clinician can tell you more about using EMFACE with your skin rejuvenation routine.

  • Unlike treatments like Kybella or CoolSculpting that destroy fat cells, EMFACE Submentum uses radiofrequency and muscle stimulation to tighten skin and tone underlying muscles—no injections, swelling, or recovery time.

  • It’s best for patients with mild to moderate fullness or skin laxity, especially if you're noticing early sagging or loss of definition.

  • While EMFACE is safe and non-invasive, it may not be recommended for individuals who:

    • Have metal implants, pacemakers, or electronic medical devices (especially near the treatment area)

    • Are pregnant or breastfeeding

    • Have active skin infections, open wounds, or rashes in the treatment area

    • Have recently had injectable fillers or Botox in the area (you may need to wait 1–2 weeks)

    • Have a history of seizure disorders (due to electromagnetic stimulation)

    • Are primarily concerned with excess fat rather than skin laxity or muscle tone (EMFACE Submentum is not a fat-dissolving treatment)
