What to Expect
Before Treatment
To help minimize bruising, avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements like aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil, and alcohol for about a week before your appointment.
During Treatment
Your injector will assess your facial structure and discuss which areas you'd like to address and the amount of filler needed to reach your goals. We'll apply numbing cream first to keep you comfortable, then carefully place Restylane into the targeted areas. Most appointments take about 60 minutes depending on how many areas are being treated.
After Treatment
You'll see results immediately - which is one of the things we love most about Restylane! Some swelling and bruising is completely normal and typically resolves within 1-2 weeks. Final results are typically seen about 4 weeks after treatment once everything has settled. Avoid intense exercise, excessive heat, and lying face down for the first 24 hours. Results can last anywhere from 6 to 18 months depending on the area treated and how your body metabolizes the product.
