What to Expect
Before Treatment
To help minimize bruising, avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements like aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil, and alcohol for about a week.
During Treatment
Your injector will assess your facial structure and recommend the number of vials needed for your goals. A common rule of thumb is one vial per decade of life (so someone in their 40s may start with four vials). We’ll apply numbing cream first, then place Sculptra into targeted areas with small injections.
After Treatment
You may notice some initial fullness right after treatment and this is mostly from swelling and the sterile water used to place the product. That temporary volume settles within a few days.
The real magic happens next: Sculptra stimulates your body to build collagen, so results appear gradually over the following weeks. We’ll also have you follow the 5-5-5 massage rule to help everything distribute evenly.
